Mother's Day

My cute Mom at my graduation

 Little me!

This one’s for my momma!! Happy Mother’s Day to all you special momma’s out there! Now let me tell you about MY mom...She is the GREATEST! Not only is she fit and super cute, she has the best personality. Although we have our differences in opinions, like everyone does, I love her endlessly. She is totally like my best friend. I was her last child and her only girl, so I automatically have a special bond with her ha! From the very beginning, I went everywhere with her and I never let her leave my sight. I loved taking Mommy and Me Gymnastics classes with her, but I like to think she did not know what she was getting herself into. I stuck with gymnastics my whole life, which means she was somewhat forced to go to all the competitions, be my taxi driver for at least an hour every day, and listen to me cry about not getting that certain skill the first ten times. She always was there for me after a bad competition, telling me I still did great. So, Mom thanks for everything! Thanks for putting up with my phases of one day loving baby dolls and the next, wanting to be a Tomboy. Thanks for letting me change my outfit five times a day. Thanks for doing my hair and tying my bow exactly the way I wanted it for practice and for competition. Thanks for singing to me every night when I was young and always saying our prayers. Thanks for always taking me shopping and letting me give you fashion advice. Thanks for buying me so many clothes and letting me try to be the “cool” girl at school. Thanks for giving me a hug and a kiss when I came home from gym crying and discouraged... This happened quite often; Gymnastics is a tough sport. Thanks for having breakfast ready for me in the morning, packing my lunch for school every day, and having dinner ready for me every single night when I got home from gym. Thanks for driving countless hours to get me to and from practice and competitions. Thanks for letting me cry on your shoulder when a stupid boy tried to “ruin” my life. Thanks for telling me my life wouldn’t be over, even though I totally thought it was. Thanks for pushing me to be the best I can be. Thanks for believing in me. I could go on and on and on, but most of all, thanks for being MY mom. I count my blessings and thank God every single day that He picked you as my mother. I hope one day I can be half the mother you are. You inspire me every day. I love you, Mom! P.S. these pictures are super out of order, but they are all just too cute!

Flash Back Friday!

So this is a FBF post because it is Thursday and this was one of my most favorite memories of my life! Rory and me decided to take a road trip to Calgary, Alberta in Canada last August and it was definitely a snap decision. But, such a great decision! Rory drove most of the 13 hours from Utah, which I was so thankful for. We did not bring our fur child because this was before we even had her! But, I would love to go back and bring her. Rory’s family lives in Calgary so we stayed with them and did so many fun activities. We went up to Banff twice when we were there. Once with just ourselves and another time with his some of his family! Banff was seriously so gorgeous. I never thought I could be somewhere so free, natural, and gorgeous. We went on a major 4-hour ish hike that I cannot even remember the name, but any hike in Banff is fun and beautiful. I recall that the hike we went on was hard and we had to literally walk on a hill of rocks for at least 45 minutes! The adventure in me was totally stoked on life! Lake Louise is also a must do! It is beautiful and I would love to stay at the gorgeous hotel by the lake called the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. There is also an easy hike around Lake Louise and once you get to the top, there is the cutest little teahouse! We also enjoyed a little ice bath in the Lake...it was FREEZING! We also visited the Calgary Zoo, which was amazing. So many fun animals and the it was clean and beautiful…would be super fun with little kids! In addition, we also took a lunch date in the Calgary Tower and let me tell you…the food was SO YUMMY! The tower rotates 360 degrees very slowly while you are sitting so you can get a view of everything! It was nice to get dressed up and go out with my love! Another fun place we visited was the Sikome Reservoir, which is like a little beach! We stayed in Calgary for about a week and loved just hanging out with Rory’s family and take long walks along the Bow River, which was right behind the house we were staying at! Definitely a place I would love to go back and visit! P.S. The pictures are totally out of order!
